The Lone Star Championships

The Lone Star Championships are comprised of social competitions – focused on improvised, non-choreography dancing. Not only does that showcase amazingly talented social dancers, but it allows you to spend your precious time having fun and not prepping for contests!

Swing Dance Battle

How versatile are you? Can you kill it fast and slow? Well this may be your comp. You and a partner will dance to three different tempos: slow, mid-tempo, and fast. Any-swing-goes for each round. You may have prepared moves or aerials, but your overall dancing should be social, non-choreographed dancing. Finalists dance to a live band! This year we will have two levels – an open and invitational.

OPEN – $30 entry fee (covers both partners)

This division is open to all non-professional dancers.
Prizes: $150 for 1st, $100 for 2nd, $50 for 3rd

INVITATIONAL – Invitation Only

Invitational is for dancers invited by the organizers. This is for dancers who have placed in the top 3 at national contests such as Lone Star, ILHC, ULHS, WLHC, Camp Jitterbug, NJC or other competitions determined by the organizers. Dancers professionally and consistently teach on a national and international level.
Prizes: TBD
